The first visit is designed for us to learn more about you, your condition & your expectations in order to determine whether chiropractic care is right for you. Below we have outlined all that will occur during this appointment so that there are no surprises! The first two visit usually lasts about 1-1.5 hours each.
After making sure we have all the correct information, you will have a consultation with Dr. Gallagher to discuss your health-related concerns as well as educate you on the damaging effects of subluxations of your spine and nervous system. He will also explain the technologies that will be utilized to evaluate your overall nervous system performance, or lack thereof, that has caused the symptoms you may be experiencing. These are performed to determine the true underlying cause of your concern/symptoms, not just the mere removal of the symptoms, in order for you to gain an insight to experiencing true health and wellness.
After your consultation, we will perform a chiropractic examination complete with standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations as well as a full nervous system scan. This cutting edge nervous system scan utilized to find the damaging effects of subluxations will find heat differentials along the spinal nerves, muscle tone measurements to determine imbalances, weaknesses and knots, and evaluate the status of the balance of the autonomic nervous system between the Sympathetic "Flight or Flight" and Parasympathetic "Rest and Digest" - a Gold Standard utilized by cardiologist and physiologist.
Most conditions will require us to take x-rays to get a full evaluation of the condition of your spine to determine the damages or changes that have occurred from years of suluxations' decay. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions & assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify areas of misalignment and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings/Presentation of Wellness Plan
Once all the information and examinations have been performed, we will schedule a second visit, preferably the next day, where Dr. Gallagher will share a report of findings with you to answer three common questions:
